The Ranelagh

This small apartment in Paris 16th has a lovely diagonal view of Ranelagh Park nearby. The apartment that was built in the 80s, had individual spaces that felt slightly constrained for its respective functions.  

 

As the owner prefers to spend most of her time in the living area, the bedroom was pushed towards the back, allowing the living spaces and its views to be extended and maximized. The new layout not only introduces a feeling of spaciousness in the elongated living space but also provides for concealed and efficient storage areas throughout the apartment.

The sliding acoustic window between the living area and bedroom allows for ample natural light and ventilation to penetrate the deeper areas of the apartment but yet provides a firm barrier of sound and privacy between the spaces.
