This apartment is located on the 23rd floor in the heart of Singapore, facing a gorgeous view of the river and city below.

On entering the apartment, one is greeted with an unfettered view of the city below. Moving deeper into the living area, the wall of cabinets and dining table on either side quietly cascades and breaks away into smaller sections, opening into a wider space and revealing the full view over the river beyond.

As the owners do not cook often, the kitchen is enclosed with slide and tuck doors, providing a sleeker overall appearance with less distractions when it is not in use.

The stone dining table elongates and trickles down into a console to the end of the living space. The additional length of table space function as a preparation area for cooking while the different sections of the console serve as storage compartments.

The apartment is divided by a wall of timber storage cabinets delineating the public and private zones but has a neutral colour palette and materiality to blend the spaces together.

As the floating upper cabinets staggers in ascension towards the window view, the living space spills over into the study area below. The study area has the flexibility of being enclosed with a sliding door, creating a separate private space when needed.

The private bedroom is not only connected to the main living area via a concealed door near the main entrance, but also through a secondary door into the study area.
This allows for flexibility on the using the study space as a guest room with an ensuite bathroom when required. With this, the circulatory paths of the apartment can be very porous, allowing ample movement in a tight space.
